About : Tonphong Kaewkongka received his B.Sc. degree in Industrial Physics (Second-Class Honors) from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok, his M.Eng. in Computer Engineering from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, and his Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from Brunel University, UK, in 2002. He also holds an LL.B. (Bachelor of Laws) from Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU).
Currently, he serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Over the course of his research career, he has developed extensive expertise in a wide range of fields including nondestructive testing and evaluation (NDT&E), condition monitoring, acoustic emission, vibration analysis, image processing, pattern recognition, artificial intelligence, embedded systems, and sensor technology.
Prof. Kaewkongka is a certified NDT Level III professional, accredited by the American Society for Nondestructive Testing (ASNT). This prestigious certification reflects his advanced technical proficiency and leadership in the field. He is recognized for his ability to develop, supervise, and evaluate complex NDT procedures, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability in inspection and evaluation processes.
